Morrow Home Community is now hiring for a casual call receptionist! This individual will not be scheduled regularly, but would be available to fill in during the week and on weekends for our current reception staff as well as working two holidays per year.

REPORTS TO:

Executive Assistant

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform routine receptionist and clerical tasks including:
    • Answering the telephone in a friendly and professional manner, and transfer the calls accordingly
    • Greet and direct visitors appropriately
    • Respond to questions and requests for information in a friendly and timely manner
  • Maintain effective public relations with the public, residents, and employees
  • Monitor and assist residents in providing a safe, caring environment
  • Accurately and efficiently handle resident personal funds

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

  • High school graduate preferred.
  • Experience and/or training in multi-line phone systems and basic computer programs such as the Microsoft Office suite and Google platforms.
  • Must enjoy working in an environment where elderly persons are present.
  • Must be available for short-notice, on-call work during the day, evening, and weekend hours.

Morrow Home Community is currently seeking a part-time Culinary Aide to work in our quality, Christian, long-term care facility. This individual will be scheduled for approximately 15 hours per bi-weekly pay period. Hours may vary but are generally from 3:00pm or 3:40pm to 6:40pm or 4:00pm to 7:00pm. Candidates must be available to work every other weekend and holiday.

Director of Culinary Services

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Create and maintain effective relations with staff, residents, and visitors.
  • Be aware of and adhere to the Residents Bill of Rights.
  • Must be able to provide regular and predictable attendance.
  • Must enjoy working with the elderly.
  • Must show respect for the residents and the residents’ dietary needs at all times.
  • Knowledgeable about Therapeutic Diets and reasons a resident needs such a diet.
  • Assists with food and tray preparation.
  • Serves food to the residents and assists them as needed.
  • Maintains clean and sanitary kitchen, storage, and dining areas.
  • Assists in all phases of dining room and kitchen clean up.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Completion of high school preferred.
  • Must be at least 15 years of age.
  • Must be able to read, speak, and understand English at a 10th grade level.

Casual Call Driver

CASUAL CALL DRIVER

Morrow Home Community is seeking applicants to transport residents to and from appointments and social functions as needed. This is an on-call position with no guaranteed hours. Weekend and Holiday work may be possible. CPR and First Aid training is required.

BENEFIT ELIGIBLE: No

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Scheduling of hours will be established from appointments made for our residents by our transportation coordinator.
  • Preparing van for transportation; i.e. warm up in winter, air conditioning in summer.
  • Transporting resident to appointment, and sitting with them if family is not along.
  • Making sure paperwork accompanies resident to appointment and back to Morrow Home.
  • Picking up of residents at area health care facilities for admission or readmission.
  • Making sure resident is comfortable during transportation.
  • Escorting resident to their room.
  • Making sure van and/or car has at least 3/4 tank of gas when finished with transporting.
  • Alerting Maintenance for vehicle malfunctions.
  • Alerting Environmental Services Director of vehicles that need washing.
  • Ensuring inside of vehicles are clean, surfaces are dusted or vacuumed regularly, and vehicles are free of trash

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Valid Wisconsin driver’s license with an acceptable driving record based on our acceptability matrix.
  • Must be a high-school graduate.
  • Must have satisfactorily completed CPR and First Aid training.
