Morrow Home Community is now hiring for a part-time housekeeper in our skilled care Nursing Home! This position requires working every fourth weekend and every third holiday. The individual in this position will be scheduled approximately 20 hours per week with the opportunity to pick up additional hours.

REPORTS TO:

Director of Environmental Services

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Show respect for residents and residents’ belongings at all times
  • Maintain a neat appearance throughout the building
    • Scrub, mop, clean, and vacuum, floors, walls, and ceilings
    • Dust, clean, and polish furniture, other equipment, and metal work.
    • Wash windows, woodwork, washrooms, and fixtures
    • Clean wheelchairs and walkers as needed
  • Replace light bulbs, towels, soap, and paper products
  • Updates Director regarding needed supplies and any concerns.
  • Monitors for environmental safety hazards

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience in housekeeping and in sanitary cleaning procedures.
  • Ability to perform manual tasks.
  • At times could be lifting and/or moving items that weigh fifty pounds or more

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Will provide religious activities, support, and services primarily in our assisted living, independent living, memory care, and advanced assisted living settings.
  • Provide one-to-one visits and support to residents as needed.
  • Document attendance at activities using electronic charting system.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field preferred.
  • High School graduate with strong spiritual background accepted. Pastoral care or grief counseling desired.
  • Background working with geriatric population preferred.
  • Musical ability preferred.
  • Attention to detail, interpersonal skills, and time management skills are essential.
  • Must enjoy working with and must relate well to the elderly.

Morrow Home Community is currently seeking a part-time Culinary Aide to work in our quality, Christian, long-term care facility. This individual will be scheduled for approximately 20-28 hours per week. Candidates must be available to work every other weekend and holiday.

Director of Culinary Services

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Create and maintain effective relations with staff, residents, and visitors.
  • Be aware of and adhere to the Residents Bill of Rights.
  • Must be able to provide regular and predictable attendance.
  • Must enjoy working with the elderly.
  • Must show respect for the residents and the residents’ dietary needs at all times.
  • Knowledgeable about Therapeutic Diets and reasons a resident needs such a diet.
  • Assists with food and tray preparation.
  • Serves food to the residents and assists them as needed.
  • Maintains clean and sanitary kitchen, storage, and dining areas.
  • Assists in all phases of dining room and kitchen clean up.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Completion of high school preferred.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must be able to read, speak, and understand English at a 10th grade level.

Morrow Home Community is seeking a compassionate Hairstylist/ Beautician to work with our residents. This is a contract position working up to 10 hours a week (2-3 days) with a flexible schedule.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide services such as shampoo, setting of hair, hair coloring, and perms.
  • Ensure residents with scheduled appointments are serviced promptly.
  • Keep the beauty salon clean and maintain a pleasant environment for residents.
  • Candidate would receive payment via residents or site based on resident account management.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

  • High School diploma or Equivalent required.
  • Must have license and be able to work with residents in Assisted Living and Long term Care settings.
  • Must have a current salon manager’s license and insurance.
  • 1+ year of experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Flexibility with schedule.
  • Must enjoy working with the senior population.

Casual Call Driver

CASUAL CALL DRIVER

Morrow Home Community is seeking applicants to transport residents to and from appointments and social functions as needed. This is an on-call position with no guaranteed hours. Weekend and Holiday work may be possible. CPR and First Aid training is required.

BENEFIT ELIGIBLE: No

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Scheduling of hours will be established from appointments made for our residents by our transportation coordinator.
  • Preparing van for transportation; i.e. warm up in winter, air conditioning in summer.
  • Transporting resident to appointment, and sitting with them if family is not along.
  • Making sure paperwork accompanies resident to appointment and back to Morrow Home.
  • Picking up of residents at area health care facilities for admission or readmission.
  • Making sure resident is comfortable during transportation.
  • Escorting resident to their room.
  • Making sure van and/or car has at least 3/4 tank of gas when finished with transporting.
  • Alerting Maintenance for vehicle malfunctions.
  • Alerting Environmental Services Director of vehicles that need washing.
  • Ensuring inside of vehicles are clean, surfaces are dusted or vacuumed regularly, and vehicles are free of trash

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Valid Wisconsin driver’s license with an acceptable driving record based on our acceptability matrix.
  • Must be a high-school graduate.
  • Must have satisfactorily completed CPR and First Aid training.
